Omg…I can not believe it. I was under the impression that Kenmore was a top of the line product. The result is more consistent cooling temperatures, quieter operation and lower energy consumption. I Compressor has a 10 year warranty – but they no longer carry the part (TCA36511303) nor its substitute (TCA38091801) even though they are available at 3rd party retailers. So looks like i’ll be disassembling the new compressor from the lines and back flushing the entire system with FJC 2032 Flush Solvent and dry nitrogen. Fixed, same issue, as compressor has not been recalled or changed. These complaints include Kenmore refrigerators that have been sold under the LG brand. Appliances keep getting better and better!. So I own a Kenmore Elite refrigerator model 795.74093.411. Can’t even get a service tech to come look at my refrigerator to cover the compressor warranty. Spent $675 to replace it. At a stand still! Oh and the Kenmore Pro gas range, leaks the smell of gas which they replaced a pilot light but it still smells!!! I spent the last 3 months fighting with Sears and going back and forth between LG and Sears/Kenmore. He said to have it fixed would cost over $1,200. Most likely they will not do anything, again. And yes one more thing to remember, always make sure that your fan and condenser is as clean as possible so that your compressor doesn’t take a chance of running to hot and cooking the oil inside the compressor and plugging up the refrigerant lines. Sound absolutely wrong, well it is. After performing diagnostics it was determined that it was the compressor. It is a guessing situation. Like the compressor is running but not engaged. Ice maker quit working and it quit cooling. Because this is my current situation. If the evap unit is not iced over, check that the evap fan works (mark a fan blade, close the door for a few moments then open door and see if marked blade has shifted. One more thing to think about, if by some chance the service tec didn’t use dry nitrogen to pressurize and flush out debris within the system after installing the new compressor then the system could still be contaminated and another failure is bound to happen.
